At the COP-16 side event (5959) GEF Support to the Nagoya and Cartagena Protocols, hosted by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) in Cali, Colombia, Ms. Lorelie U. Agbagala, Biosafety Clearing-House (BCH) Focal Point of the Philippines, Head of the Secretariat of the National Committee on Biosafety of the Philippines (NCBP), and member of the Cartagena Protocol Compliance Committee, shared updates and reflections on the implementation of the multi-country project. In her presentation, she highlighted best practices and lessons learned, as well as the key challenges encountered in advancing biosafety implementation.
