Tata Institute for Genetics and Society (TIGS) in partnership with BCIL is organizing a webinar on “Gene Editing Research in Agriculture: Key Initiatives in India” to showcase innovative research initiatives in the country in this area on February 17, 2021 from 10.00 AM to 11.30 AM .  
 
The webinar will be chaired by Dr. T.R. Sharma, Deputy Director General(Crop Science), Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and co-chaired by Dr. K.K. Sharma, Director, CGIAR Research Program on Grain Legumes and Dryland Cereals (CRP-GLDC), International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT).
 
Leading scientists actively engaged in gene editing from leading institutions will present their research leads on different crops viz. banana, legumes and millets, oilseeds  and rice.  An invite along with profile of the speakers is attached herewith.
