Korea BCH is conducting an information cooperation meeting with biosafety officials and experts to successfully implement the Korea Biosafety Capacity Building Initiative and to revitalize the Cooperation network in Asia region.
Through the "First Asia Forum", held in Jeju Island in November 2017, the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture and KBCH raised the need for cooperation to share experiences on LMO safety management and establish a emergency management system.
KBCH visited the Science and Technology Promotion Center (DCST) of China's Agriculture Ministry in September 2018 to discuss future cooperation measures, and agreed to hold regular meetings between the two countries for GMO safety management and information cooperation. This year, it plans to hold a second meeting around September 2019.
